ADHD Diagnosed at Age 4 Now

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, children as young as age 4 can now be diagnosed with ADHD according to new treatment guidelines. Behavioral management techniques should be the first treatment approach for preschool children. When this approach fails, preschoolers with moderate to severe behavior issuses can be treated with Ritalin, however its use is not approved by the FDA under the age of 6 yet.
