Music Therapy Improves Behavior in Children with Autism

A paper in the Pertanika Journal reports the positive effect of music therapy on behavior in children with autism, and in particular on the inattentive behavior.

The paper reports that a weekly one-hour music therapy can have a positive effect on the behavior of children with autism.

It was also mentioned that: “music and movement therapy has been used to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages.”

“Music therapy promotes wellness, alleviates pain, enhances memory, improves communication, and manages stress.”

In one of my articles I mentioned how Mozart’s music used in classrooms had a calming effect on children on the autism spectrum. It has reduced temper tantrums, and promoted children’s cooperation to do work and learn.
