A student with very little speech demonstrated a very short attention span for regular work (Math and Language Arts). But I noticed that he\u00a0showed a lot of interest in the Music class, and was able to focus and stay on task for almost the entire period of time (about thirty minutes). He was able to sit quietly and <strong>listen actively<\/strong>. From his body language, I was able to tell that he was deeply enjoying the music even without singing or participating.<\/p>\n<p>One day the Music teacher introduced a new song that came with a story. The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/autism-tips.com\/?p=257\" target=\"_self\">pictures<\/a><\/strong> in the book fascinated the little boy. He quickly and independently grasped the melody. Day after day he started to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/autism-tips.com\/?p=770\" target=\"_self\">utter<\/a><\/strong> harmoniously the words of this song in a melodious sound.
